Have you been a contract specialist, a contracting officer, or otherwise involved in federal procurement, but are now looking to capitalize on your experience by helping to deploy COTS contract management software to federal customers? AINS is seeking a business analyst with subject matter expertise in federal procurement. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the federal procurement operations process, preferably the 1102 job series. Specifically, the candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the contract filing process, the acquisition and contract life cycle, and the documentation that constitutes the contract file.
You will become a product specialist in support of implementation activities for our COTS applications, in particular a contract support application. Primary duties include working closely with the Project Team and the client to perform requirements analysis, system configuration, testing, documentation, training, and support.
Experience with the following is required:
  • Federal Procurement
    • Planning, establishing, or reviewing contracts, programs, policies, or procedures
    • Awarding contracts within delegated contracting officer authority, or recommending award to contracting officer on contracts outside delegated authority.
    • Providing support in the planning, management and oversight of contracting programs.
    • Performing technical review of contracts, solicitations, and file documentation.
  • Business Analysis
    • Analyzing a customer’s business processes and providing best practice recommendations
    • Identifying customer’s functional requirements and system issues (bugs and/or enhancements)
    • Configuring solutions or working with developers to meet customer’s needs
  • Ability to multi-task, work in stressful situations, and effectively accomplish tasks/goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
The position will include:
  • Assisting with system implementation activities, including but not limited to:
    • Participating in meetings and activities both at client sites & via teleconferences/online
    • Generating project documentation
    • Providing system training and/or on-site support
    • Assisting with help-desk and quality assurance related tasks
    • Serving as a customer liaison, including working with corporate sales/support/development/quality teams
  • Interacting with management, end-users, and technical staff in a professional manner as well as working independently
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
