System Engineer (Application Integration)
AINS has an immediate opening for an Application Integration Specialist who has experience in implementing a variety of technical solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess skills in integration and operations activities in support of a portfolio of applications. This position provides a variety of operations and integration support with a special emphasis on Single-sign-on (SSO) solutions, DEVOPS, and platform integrations. The person will be involved in support and administration of tools related to development activities.
Additional responsibilities will include advanced troubleshooting, monitoring of operations, and assisting partners in implementation of SSO solutions. A person who has some experience in development and who can support a variety of technologies is a plus. This is a great opportunity for a clever and inquisitive professional to learn a variety of IT Tools.  You will be working with a team of other technical staff who you can share, learn and grow your technical skills with.
Responsibilities would include activities such as the following:
  • Supporting application integration and development staff in the integration of SSO solutions into off-the-shelf, and custom software
  • Perform operational support and maintenance of PingIndentity’s PingFederate platforms, or similar
  • Provide consultation to customer and all channels of IT Support with regards to the SSO operational environment.
  • Develop automated procedures/scripts to to orchestrate a full range dev, test and deployment activities across AWS and Azure Cloud environments.
  • Support operations within AWS and Azure cloud environments
  • Automate and perform continuous security monitoring, detecting security vulnerabilities and orchestrating appropriate remediation
  • Installation and updating of software platforms within supported cloud environments
  • Monitor operational availability of production applications utilizing and implementing automated failure alerts
  • Tracking down problems relating to issues in the computing environment, such as network or security problems.
  • Collecting metrics and reporting on systems usage
  • Development of Standard Operating Procedures, Installation Documentation,  and other administrative system documents
  • Conduct capacity and performance planning
  • Conduct platform testing for deployment and planned changes to the operation environment
General Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree and/or 1 years equivalent work experience supporting IT systems
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016,and/ or Linux servers including knowledge of the server resource management (CPU, Memory, storage, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Virtualized servers in cloud environments, such as AWS and Azure
  • Basic experience supporting web applications
  • Experience with various utility scripting tools
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Hands-on systems troubleshooting experience
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals
  • Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required
  • Highly self motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
