Senior Technical Lead/Solutions Architect

AINS is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Senior Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership on a large Agile project team responsible for the successful design, development, and implementation of a highly visible mission system for the Federal Government.  The new system will enable the strategic planning, design, budgeting, procurement, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of portfolios of projects, activities, and supporting management functions project providing application development services and business solutions for more than 20 mission systems in the Federal Government.   The Technical Lead/Solutions Architect will be accountable for the successful implementation leveraging the MS Azure PAAS and / or AWS. The primary work location is at Crystal City, VA.

Position Description
  • Work independently and collaboratively as an experienced developer on multi-disciplined project team supporting an agile development methodology.
  • Contribute to senior level design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the successful implementation of MS Azure PAAS solution.
  • Provide Technical Leadership and guidance to 3 Agile Scrum teams responsible for the design and development of complex development tasks on time and on budget
  • Interact with the client to clarify analyze, assess requirements and make technology recommendations and oversee technical solutions
  • Actively involved in iterative requirements, design, and development and testing activities for MS Azure PAAS/web applications.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing Native Cloud Apps in AWS and MS Azure government cloud environments
  • Strong knowledge about AWS and Azure application security architecture
  • Hands on experience with cloud databases: AWS RDS, Aurora and Azure SQL DB
  • Strong knowledge and experience with cloud connectivity architectures
  • Experience in designing and implementation of Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in AWS and Azure clouds
  • Knowledge and experience in migrating J2EE applications to cloud native applications
  • Hands on experience in developing AWS Lambdas or Azure functions
  • Good knowledge and experience of web development skills HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX.
  • Excellent analytical and assessment skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
  • Exposure to Agile approaches to software development.
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university (Computer Science preferred)
  • AWS or Azure Architect Certifications
