AINS is seeking an accomplished, mid-level Technical Project Manager with 8+ years of IT professional experience to lead and manage multiple SDLC project teams to successfully design, develop and implement web applications for the Federal Government.  The work location is in Washington DC.
 
Position Description
  • Provide leadership and management oversight on multiple Agile Software development projects.
  • Collaborate with government project managers to assist in tracking and communicating status of multiple projects across contractor teams. 
  • Perform for resource allocation and optimization across all project tasks.
  • Ensure all contract work products and deliverables are completed on-time, within budget, and meet the objectives of the task order and that risks and issues are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Overall responsibility of customer management, setting clear expectations, and developing strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
  • Lead project planning activities and ensure customer acceptance of the Integrated Project Management Plan, scope definition, project estimates and Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Assist technical leads with the development of  resource allocation plans and detailed project schedules an ensure implementation of CMMI L3 project monitoring activities and associated controls
  • Mentor AINS project staff, approve timecards, providing on going performance feedback, ensure training requirements are met, and conduct annual performance reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience successfully managing IT projects with a focus on applications design, development, operations, and maintenance.   
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplined teams in Agile software development approach.
  • Strong customer management and leadership skills
  • Extensive hands on experience tracking and managing project resources, tasks, milestones and deliverables using MS Project
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to lead  high-functioning teams
Desired Certifications:
  • PMP
  • Agile ScrumMaster, ITIL
Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science preferred)
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident based on US Federal Government Clearance
