Position Description:  An exciting and challenging position for a .NET Software Developer on a large Federal IT project providing COTS integration and software development services and business solutions for more than 50 applications in the Federal Government.
 
AINS is a technology firm specializing in SaaS case management software products and other technology services. Due to continued growth, AINS is seeking a well-rounded developer to join an exceptional team supporting and developing a portfolio of applications using a variety of tools.
 
This position is located in Crystal City, Arlington, Va.
 
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate for this position has 1 or more years of experience in .NET web development including C#.NET; ASP.NET; HTML; CSS; XML; JavaScript; JQuery, AJAX; interface design; IIS, MS Visual Studio IDE; and relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle or My SQL.  
 
Additional experience and a willingness to learn other web development environments is a plus. The following skills are also valuable:
  • Drupal
  • PHP
  • SAML and Single Sign On (SSO) implementations
  • Experience with Open Source content management systems
  • Knowledge and expertise with cross browser compatibility issues
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
Other desired skills:
  • MS Azure PaaS development tools
  • Experience with DEVOPS tools and automation processes to increase productivity and quality through continuous SW delivery
  • Modern UI Frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap, Google Web Toolkit)
  • Experience or skills with Java, J2EE and Application servers JBoss and Tomcat
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop websites and custom application solutions
  • Maintain and support existing applications, providing suggestions on ways to optimize or enhance
  • Provide technical training and support to clients when necessary
  • Participate in project planning/estimation with project managers
  • Convert and integrate data and content for use in databases and websites
  • Stay abreast of current technology and seek out new tools that can be utilized appropriately
  • Make suggestions that improve programming techniques, applications, documentation and client deliverables
  • Engage in problem definition and solution implementation according to client needs
  • Diagnose application performance across client-side code, network communication, web-service processing, relational database design, and web-service interactions.
     
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
 
Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Interim Secret or full Secret Clearance required
